Deleting your data
Sailor’s Companion has no user account. Your logbooks, entries and track live on your device and are not sent to us — so most of your data is deleted by you, in the app, without asking anyone.
On your device
- A single entry: swipe it in the log, or open it and delete it.
- A whole logbook, with its entries and its track: Logbooks → press and hold the logbook → Delete.
- Everything: uninstall the app. That removes the database, every logbook, the track and all downloaded chart regions from the device.
Deleting a voyage in the app does not remove a copy you have already published as a share link — stop or replace the share first.
On our servers
Only three things ever reach our servers, and only if you use the feature:
- A shared logbook link. Stop or replace the share in the app (Logbooks → Share) and the published copy is removed at once. Otherwise it is deleted automatically 30 days after the last update.
- A remote anchor watch. Deleted automatically 48 hours after the last update.
- Feedback you send from the app — your message, the technical details the app shows you before sending, and a reply address if you added one. Kept only as long as it takes to handle, and at most 24 months.

Because there is no account, please tell us what it concerns — the share link, or the reply address you used for feedback. We answer within 30 days.
What we keep
Web server logs are kept for seven days and then deleted automatically. They are reduced to coarse sea areas and build no profile, so they cannot be traced back to a person and cannot be deleted individually.
Payments run through Apple or Google, never through us — we never see your payment details. The store keeps its own record of a purchase under its own policy.
Full detail is in our privacy policy.
